METRO Shine

Youth group for LGBTQ+ people aged between 16 and 25 in Greenwich and Bexley.

METRO Shine is a group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, non-binary, queer and questioning young people in Greenwich and Bexley. We meet in Greenwich every week.

You need to be aged between 16 and 25 and live in Greenwich or Bexley. You also need to identify as LGBTQ+ or be questioning your sexuality or gender identity. All our youth groups are free and confidential.

Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline

They have provided support and information to millions of people since their phone started ringing in 1974. Throughout their history, they have been at the forefront of supporting our communities in facing the issues of the day.

Just Like Us

Just Like Us is the LGBT+ young people’s charity.

Growing up LGBT+ is still unacceptably tough. Founded in 2016, we work with schools and young people across the UK to change this.

FFlag

FFLAG is a national voluntary organisation and registered charity. We are dedicated to supporting parents and families and their LGBT+ members.

We offer support to local parents groups and contacts in their efforts to help parents and families understand, accept and support their lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender members with love and pride.

The Haven

The Haven are a friendly mixed LGBT group, that meets every Friday in Bexleyheath.

Meetings are held from 8pm to 10pm at the Café Geddes Place the Café Geddes Place, Bexleyheath, Kent. Also meet at Asda, Bexleyheath on the fourth Thursday of the month.

A small charge is made which goes to the hire of the meeting place - £3.00 (waged) / £2.00 (unwaged).

Other events (not on Friday Evenings) - Rambles, Places of Interest, Meals Out, The Coast and more.  Announcements are made throughout the year.

MindOut is a mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay, bisexual, trans and queer people with experience of mental health issues.

We work to improve the mental health and wellbeing of LGBTQ communities and to make mental health a community concern.
